Patrick R. Norris, Esq.

Partner, Fiduciary and Corporate Counsel

Patrick founded Norris Legal in 2011.  He combines his own experience as a business owner with his tax planning background to advise individuals, families and business owners from all walks of life and wealth.  By combining his strong belief in communication with his small town values, Patrick has consistently delivered results in helping companies across a wide range of industries to maintain efficiency and minimize risk.  He has also demonstrated the ability to establish compliance, resolve and avoid a wide range of controversies related to Fiduciary Duties in both the family and corporate settings.    Most importantly, Patrick continues to install the daily mindset across the Firm that all strategic planning is done by focusing on economic growth and protection of the family business.

Patrick is originally from Sandersville, Georgia, the “Kaolin Capital” of the World.  He obtained his undergraduate degrees in Speech Communication and Mass Communication from the University of Georgia before moving to Atlanta in 2006 to obtain his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University.  He entered practice in 2009, practicing with two boutique tax law firms in Atlanta before starting Norris Legal in 2011. He is licensed to practice in Georgia and now lives in the Buckhead Area of Atlanta with his wife Emily.

Benjamin C. Stidham, Esq.

Partner, Mergers, Acquisitions, Tax & Compliance

Ben joined Atlanta Law Group in 2014.  By combining his work ethic with a keen understanding for corporate governance and compliance, he quickly became a Partner of the Firm in 2018.  With an LL.M. Masters of Taxation Degree, Ben advises the Firm’s clients on mergers, acquisitions, ownership of corporate assets, corporate governance, taxation and general compliance.  Through his experience in helping buyers and sellers in a wide range of business acquisitions, from restaurants to real estate, he is able to help provide valuable experience and counsel in negotiating with landlords, franchises, lienholders and lenders.  His tax background also allows him to provide buyers and sellers with foresight planning on the front end of any transaction.  In addition, Ben has been able to help construct and maintain the Firm’s practice area for helping business owners remain compliant, on a wide range of issues related to tax reporting, licensing, state and federal registrations, including successful resolutions with the Internal Revenue Service, State Agencies and Local Municipalities across the Southeastern United States.

Ben is a native of Atlanta and an avid supporter of the South Carolina Gamecocks from whom he obtained his undergraduate Degree.  He is licensed to practice in Georgia, Florida and before the United States Tax Court.  Ben now lives in the Woodstock Area of Metro Atlanta.

Beth Gilchrist, Esq.

Managing Director, Trusts & Estates

Beth joined Atlanta Law Group in 2018.  She is known for her leadership, organization and ambitious work ethic.  Prior to joining Atlanta Law Group, Beth worked as an Editor of Atlanta Lawyer Magazine while practicing with one of Atlanta’s boutique Trusts & Estates Firms.  Her focus and prior experience gives the Firm’s Trusts & Estates Group a dedicated, experienced Leader who is also connected to Planning Trends and the Atlanta Planning Community.  Beth’s experience and demeanor give her the ideal ability to help all Families identify suitable trust and estate structures based on their asset holdings and goals.

Beth is originally from Marietta, Georgia.  She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Mercer University School of Law.  Beth lives in Buckhead and is an active Volunteer with the Chastain Horse Park and Junior League of Atlanta.

George H. Smith, Esq.

Corporate Counsel, Real Estate

After practicing law in New York and returning home to Georgia, George joined Atlanta Law Group in 2017.  Through his diverse background in real estate, entertainment law, insurance and intellectual property, he is able to assist the Firm’s corporate clients in structuring and negotiating a wide range of strategic contracts.  George is also one of the few attorneys in the State of Georgia to maintain the prestigious accreditation as a Certified Legal Manager which allows him to extend ethical and regulatory guidance to companies in many industries.  To also fully assist the Firm’s clients in real estate transactions, George also maintains his own Title Agency through Fidelity National Title Insurance Company:

George is a Georgia native, born and raised in the Emory neighborhood of Atlanta.  He obtained his education through combined attendance at Emory University and the University of Georgia.  He is licensed to practice in Georgia and also before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  George is an active Sunday School Teacher and contributor to the Atlanta Community.

Carol M. Jabaley

Director of Operations and Client Services

Carol has served as Atlanta Law Group’s Director of Operations and Client Services since joining the Firm in 2015.  Known for her attention to detail and southern hospitality, she has become a resource, point of contact, source of trust and reliability for many of the Firm’s family clients.  Carol oversees Atlanta Law Group’s file maintenance, record storage and keeping.  Her experience and work ethic have allowed her to assist hundreds of families in organizing and maintaining trust and estate plans that will protect and benefit their families for multiple generations.

Carol is a proud graduate of Georgia State University and an avid supporter of Georgia Tech Athletics. She is originally from LaGrange, Georgia where much of her family still resides and now a long-time resident of Midtown Atlanta.


Maayan Levison

Executive Corporate Manager

Maayan joined Atlanta Law Group in 2018.  Her diverse background has spanned multiple continents and business opportunities, including venture capital.  Maayan oversees the Firm’s day to day administration.  In doing so, she serves as an Account Manager for Atlanta Law Group’s clients and a liaison to strategic partners, vendors and new clients.  Maayan is also keenly involved in the planning and implementation of the Firm’s internal systems, client experience, presentation and community involvement.

From 2012 to 2015, Maayan worked in the fast paced world of Israeli High Tech in Tel Aviv. After moving back to Atlanta in the summer of 2015, she spent three years at TRM Oncology, a Netherlands based firm that plans medical conferences all over the world on behalf of major pharmaceutical companies.   Maayan lives in Buckhead with her husband Andy.


Erica Ruggiero

Law Clerk, Planning and Corporate Counsel

Erica joined Atlanta Law Group in 2018.  With a particular interest in corporate growth, governance and maintenance, she is able to actively assist the Firm’s corporate clients in maintaining agreements, filings and records that are both protective and compliant.  Erica’s organization skills also allow her to significantly assist business owners in acquiring and selling businesses as she is able to provide an additional layer of contact and support for ensuring that all transactions are properly completed.  Through her relationship development skills, she is also able to assist business owners in identifying opportunities for strategic personal planning.

Erica is an Atlanta native.  She completed her undergraduate Degree from the University of South Carolina and will complete her Juris Doctor in December of 2018.  She is a resident and passionate supporter of the Alpharetta area of Metro Atlanta.
