Patrick R. Norris, ESQ.
Partner, Fiduciary Counsel
Patrick founded Norris Legal in 2011. He combines his own experience as a business owner with his tax planning background to advise individuals, families and business owners from all walks of life and wealth. By combining his strong belief in communication with his small-town values, Patrick has consistently delivered results in helping companies across a wide range of industries to maintain efficiency and minimize risk. He has also demonstrated the ability to establish compliance, resolve and avoid a wide range of controversies related to fiduciary duties in both the family and corporate settings. Most importantly, Patrick continues to install the daily mindset across the firm that all strategic planning is done by focusing on economic growth and protection of the family business.
Patrick is originally from Sandersville, Georgia, the “Kaolin Capital” of the World. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in Speech Communication and Mass Communication from the University of Georgia before moving to Atlanta in 2006 to obtain his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University. He entered practice in 2009, practicing with two boutique tax law firms in Atlanta before starting Norris Legal in 2011. He is licensed to practice in Georgia and now lives in the Buckhead Area of Atlanta with his wife Emily.
Ben C. Stidham, ESQ.
Partner, Acquisitions, Contracts and Leasing
Ben is a Partner at Norris Legal Atlanta Law Group. He focuses his practice on advising individuals and small businesses in connection with corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and tax planning. He also consults clients on general corporate and compliance matters in line with federal, state and local regulations.
Ben has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including but not limited to, food and beverage, construction and landscaping, professional services and real estate.
Ben received his B.S. in Economics from the University of South Carolina. In 2013, he received his J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where he served as an Editor on the schools Law Journal. In 2015, he received his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.
Beth Gilchrist, ESQ.
Managing Director of Trusts & Estates
Beth Gilchrist is the firm’s Managing Director of Trust and Estates. She focuses on fiduciary law, estate planning and the administration of Trusts & Estates. A native of Cobb County, Beth attended the University of Georgia, earning a B.A. in English and minoring in Spanish and Religion. She obtained her J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, graduating cum laude and serving as a Managing Editor for the MERCER LAW REVIEW. Prior to Norris Legal Atlanta Law Group, Beth interned at the United States District Court and Superior Court level. She also worked for an established estate planning law firm in Alpharetta.
Beth is a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Bar Journal. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
Erica L. Ruggiero, ESQ.
Erica joined Norris Legal Atlanta Law Group in 2018. With an interest in corporate growth, governance and maintenance, she’s able to actively assist the firm’s corporate clients in maintaining agreements, filings and records that are both protective and compliant. Erica’s organizational skills also make her a significant asset to the firm’s Closing Team for Business Acquisitions. Through her relationship development skills, she has proven the ability to also assist business owners in strategic opportunities for personal planning.
Erica is licensed to practice in Georgia. She’s an Atlanta native and avid supporter of the Atlanta Braves.
Carol M. Jabaley
Vice President of Client Services & Operations
Carol joined Norris Legal Atlanta Law Group in 2015 and has managed the firm’s Midtown office since. As a major component in the design and creation of the firm’s active systems and infrastructure, Carol has become a reliable project manager for the firm’s estate planning clients. In addition to her oversight of all the firm’s information management systems, Carol constantly leverages her experience and attention to detail, to assist hundreds of families in maintaining and administering trust and estate plans that will protect and benefit clients and their families for generations.
Prior to joining the firm, Carol served under an elected official at the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. She is a proud graduate of Georgia State University and an avid supporter of Georgia Tech Athletics. Originally from LaGrange, Georgia, where much of her family still resides, Carol has since become a long-time resident of Midtown Atlanta.
Maayan C. Levison
Chief Operating Officer
Maayan joined Norris Legal Atlanta Law Group in 2018. Her diverse background has spanned multiple continents and business opportunities, including venture capital. Maayan oversees the firm’s day to day administration. In doing so, she serves as COO for the firm’s existing clients and a liaison to strategic partners, vendors and new clients. She is also keenly involved in the planning and implementation of the firm’s internal systems, client experience, presentation and community involvement. In addition, Maayan heads up the firm’s marketing efforts including website construction, events and social media management.
Maayan resides in West Midtown with her husband, Andy.
